b and d Playdough Roll & Stamp Set
b & d Playdough Roll & Stamp Set
Roll • Stamp • Say • Sort
Make learning the difference between b and d playful and hands-on with the b & d Playdough Roll & Stamp Set.
Designed to support children who are learning to recognise and distinguish between these commonly confused letters, this interactive set combines playdough, letter formation and picture-based sound activities in one engaging resource.
Roll the playdough roller across the dough to explore b and d, then use the B and D stamper ends for additional letter recognition and stamping practice.
The two picture dice add another layer of learning. Each die features pictures of words beginning with b or d, encouraging children to identify the image, say the word aloud and listen carefully for its beginning sound. Children can then decide whether the word begins with /b/ or /d/ and match it to the corresponding letter.
By combining visual, tactile and auditory learning, this set gives little learners repeated opportunities to explore the difference between b and d through play.
Perfect for:
- Recognising and distinguishing b and d
- Beginning sound identification
- Letter–sound correspondence
- Phonemic awareness
- Letter recognition
- Vocabulary development
- Fine motor skills
- Playdough and sensory learning
- Literacy centres and small-group activities
- Preschool, kindergarten and early elementary learning
How to Play
Roll out some playdough and use the roller to create a repeating b and d pattern. Talk about each letter as it appears and notice how the letters are different.
Next, roll one of the picture dice. Name the picture aloud and listen for the first sound: Does it begin with /b/ or /d/?
Use the corresponding B or D stamper to stamp the answer into the playdough.
